Portrait Reference Photo Guidelines
To ensure the best possible hand-drawn portrait, please submit a high-quality reference photo that follows these guidelines:
Clear, high-resolution photo Please provide a sharp, in-focus image where facial details are easy to see.
Bright, even lighting Use natural or fair lighting that clearly shows the subject’s features. Avoid harsh shadows, dark areas, reflections, or glare.
Front-facing position Subjects should be facing the camera directly, with their shoulders squared and their full face visible.
Natural pose Please avoid unusual angles or awkward positions that may make the portrait difficult to capture accurately.
No obstructions Ensure nothing is covering the subject’s face or body, or covering important features.
