Spanning the East River since 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge connected the once-separate cities of Brooklyn and Manhattan and was the longest suspension bridge in the world when it opened. More than a feat of engineering, it transformed daily life by bringing the two cities closer together and laying the foundation for the New York City we know today. All proceeds from the Brooklyn Heart Collection will go toward funding the pilot project for BrooklynStart, a show about a conversation no one wants to have.
